At Spectrum5, we are designing and enhancing software technologies for the automatic design of tubing and piping problems.   

Founded in 2001 in order to develop innovations created by our founding technical team, Spectrum5 continues to pioneer and innovate to help our customers dramatically change the dynamics and economics of their businesses by solving difficult design problems quickly.

Our initial application was designing Formula 1 and NASCAR exhaust header tubing solutions.  We spun-off a manufacturing company that is providing  high-quality stainless steel products for racing applications.  The web site can be found at:  www.spectrum5racing.com  

Our next application was the design of a waterslide.  This included modeling and optimization of water flow and gravity in parallel with the tubing solution and available real estate and cost goals for the project while minimizing the number of fiberglass molds necessary to build the tubing sections.

Spectrum5 is not currently in the business of licensing the software design tools, however we may be interested in developing application specific versions of our general tubing solutions and licensing the software.   We are also interested in incorporating our technologies into existing CAD packages to provide an integrated CAD/Automatic Tubing Design environment.   Meanwhile, our package is able to export designs directly into Solidworks, thereby providing many standard file formats for 3d CAD packages.
